Guild Rules

Code of Conduct

  • No drama. Drama will be dealt with dramatically.
  • No fussing. You don't like how things are run, leave. Short comments or recommendations are acceptable.
  • Prepare for a struggle! Frustration from wipes is understandable, be constructive but not critical. Think of the solution not the problem. Save your temper for the mobs.
  • Materials in the guild bank may be requested from the Supply Officer. This includes enchants and gems for gear. Do not greed on items during a raid, those items are for use by the guild for enchants.
  • Treat all guild members with respect. This pretty much goes without saying and we will not tolerate this kind of behavior and it will not go unpunished.
  • Members of evolved are expected to represent evolved in a positive fashion as long as they bear the evolved tag. This applies in all aspects of the game including pickup groups. Every action a member makes reflect on the guild they belong to.
  • Your main Character name must be in your tag for Ventrilo. Failure to identify your in game name in Ventrilo may result in disciplinary action.
  • evolved holds its members to the highest Caliber. Members are expected to behave in a civilized and respectful manner. Examples of inappropriate behavior include but are not limited to:
  • Ninja Looting - Any Member of evolved that is caught ninja looting will be removed from evolved. Ninja looting is described as rolling 'Need' on gear that one cannot or will not use.
  • Scamming - Any member of evolved that is caught attempting to scam people will be removed from evolved.
  • Harassment - Any member of evolved that is caught harassing another player will be disciplined accordingly. Serious cases of any type of harassment can lead to expulsion.

Guild/Raid Schedule

All times in this sample calendar are server time. Raiders must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance to maintain raider status.

25M Raids Wed 6:30PMish-11PMish
10M Raids Thrs 6:30PMish-11PMish

The above is the current schedule, but can change on a week to week basis depending on progression, attendance, content, and whim of the Raid Leaders.

Raider Status :

Several criteria will be used to determine player placement as a Raider. A warning system will be used to indicate to the player where the guild believes they are falling short. The first warning will be set of instructions for improvement provided by the Liaison Officer. The second warning will be a meeting with all or part of the Hyperion Council on ventrilo.

Attendance Requirements:

Each Raider will be required to maintain a rough attendance percentage (Attendance is calculated as a running average, truncating data over one month old). This percentage will be decided upon as the player joins the raiding ranks. It should number between 80% to 100%, based on the player's real life schedule.

Performance Requirements:

Each week the Hyperion Council will measure performance during raid activities and continued substandard performance will require warnings to be issued. See raid performance below.

Preparation Requirements:

Players are required to bring the appropriate pots and consumables to each raid, and required to complete raid oriented objectives (i.e. faction levels, attunement, etc.). Details will be provided prior to raiding activities. They are also required to have the requisite mods installed and working. Warnings/discipline will be issued if players aren't adequately prepared.

Raid Performance:

Each player is required to accomplish the major role of their class. Councilors will maintain a list of general expectations as well as have specific instructions for particular instances or encounters. DPS will be required to maintain damage levels, healers required to maintain healing done, and tanks required to tank effectively.

Performance will be gauged relative to others in the same class as well as classes with the same role. Performance objectives may change with raid instance requirements. Healers may be required to dps or tank. DPS may be required to perform crowd control or decursing functions. Tanks may be required to DPS.

Other negative issues such as pulling aggro, unintended pulls, poor positioning, wiping the raid, etc., will also count toward performance. Players whose performance is significantly lower than others of the same class/major role will begin receiving warnings then demotion from raiding status, etc...

Requisite Software for Raiders:

Absentee Excuses:

Computer issues, network problems, social engagements, having to go to a bar fight, and work schedules will not be accepted as excuses if not notified or explained in advance (not the hour of raid). Work/school schedules should be factored in to your Attendance Profile (see Raider Status). If you have vacation for a week, plan ahead, let the Hyperion Council know and post on the forums. Emergency excuses will be accepted, such as death in the family, major illnesses.

We are all setting aside time to play this game, so let's try to not waste people's time and be respectful of all of our dedication. If you are replaced do not expect to have a spot saved for you, raids must carry on.

Raiding Operations:

  • Raid leaders will be assigned by the Hyperion Council for each event. All Councilors will be expected to lead raids from time to time.
  • Raid calendars will be provided.
  • You must sign up to scheduled raids (this really helps the raid leaders know what they may need to PUG).
  • Raid attendees must have their main on at raid start time or will be counted absent.
  • Raid makeup will be determined by the Raid Leaders immediately before raid start time.

Loot Rules:

  • All members of the raid have an equal roll; there is no priority system for loot with the following exceptions:
  • Trial members will not be allowed to roll unless loot in question is passed by all other full members of guild.
  • No more than two items may be awarded to a single player within the raid in a given raid night.
  • The "No More Than Two" rule can be negated if all members of the raid pass on the item and the item would else wise be disenchanted. Participating members who are at the loot cap could then free roll without penalty.
  • Patterns, Enchants, etc. first go to the Hyperion council if it is a new item for the guild. This is to ensure this new item remains available to the guild. After the first drop of this item it becomes free roll to any member of the raid who can use it. These do not count towards the "No More Than Two" rule.
  • BOE items will be automatically placed into the Guild Bank for further use, sold on the auction house, or disenchanted. Guild members may purchase said items for alternate characters at half of the current Auction House price.
  • Tier Pieces:
  • Not rolled for they will be Loot Counseled based on Hyperion Council vote. Reasoning behind decision is based upon:
  • Rank within the guild.
  • Attendance.
  • Raid sign-up.
  • Overall upgrade of item in question.
  • Class and spec (i.e. Tank, Healer, DPS).
  • Contribution to the guild and raid.
  • Fall in the "No More Than Two" rules.
